This 1977 Bing & Grondahl Danish Marine plate shows the Danish Training ship named Hans Egede. The Steam schooner named Hans Egede was sailing from Copenhagen to Greenland with provisions. In the second world war it was sailing between the United States and Greenland. In 1942 the ship was torpedoed by a German boat.
