1984 Holmegaard Ship's plate with motif of the Danish ship named "Jylland". Motif: The Full-Rigger Jylland Inscription at the plate: Dampskruefregat Jylland The Full-Rigger Jylland was finished in 1862 at Holmen. In 1864 the ship took part in the Battle of Helgoland. The ship was very important in this battle and was one of the hardest fighting Danish ships. Because of this Denmark won this one battle in the was. Later Jylland served in the Baltic, the Mediterranean and in the Danish West Indies. In 1974 and in 1876 the full-rigger Jylland served as royal yacht for the Danish King Christian IX too. Today the full-rigger Jylland is lying in the Danish city named Ebeltoft. It is own by an independent institution and serves as museum ship.
