Aladin plays with the street urchins is the second in a series of 12 aladin plates produced by Rosenthal, designed by Bjorn Wiinblad. In his 12 Aladin plates, Bjørn Wiinblad virtuously depicts the tale of Aladin from the well known fairy tale The Thousand and One Nights. In this fairy tale Aladin achieves the greatest treasures and overcomes the gravest dangers, and Bjorn Wiinblad has, in his usual optimistic style, chosen the most important scenes from Aladin's life. The brilliant and intense colours with gold ornamentations stresses the splendor of this oriental fairy tale.
