Plate number seven in a series of twelve.
The entrance to the Round Tower in Copenhagen.
The tower was built in 1637-1642 started by
Hans van Steenwinckel and finished by
Lennart Blasius from Holland. The bricks were
ordered from Henrik van Dingklage in Emden,
since the quality of danish bricks was too
poor. The tower was built together with The
Trinitatis Church - the new university-
church, that was ready in 1656. The tower
also includes a star-planetarium.
