Before you use a lot of time adding more items to the basked, which you consider to sell, please be aware of the following: We have a comprehensive stock of most collectibles, thus we are mainly interested in items mentioned in our DPH Wanted-list as well as some figurines from Bing & Grøndahl and Royal Copenhagen. If you wish to sell items mentioned in our "Wanted list" and you want to sell other items too, we can now and then offer to buy all your items, as long as there is a sensible proportion between items we wish to buy and items we already have in abundance. No rules without exceptions, so naturally you are always welcome to send an inquiry, or ask in general terms before spending time counting and typing. We will advise you whether there is a possibility that we want to buy - at a decent price. Thank you in advance.
This Gorilla is one of the figurinesin the serie of monkeys. In an exciting collaboration with the artist Pia Langelund, Royal Copenhagen has created a series of five simple yet elegant primate sculptures, each one expressing the primate´s special characteristics. Royal Copenhagen stands for the finest traditions of artistry and craftsmanship, asit has done ever since 1775. But there can be no tradition without renewal. In an exciting collaboration with the artist Pia Langelund, Royal Copenhagen has created a brand new line with a simple yet elegant series of primate sculptures. One by one the beautiful sculptures presenteach primate´s special characteristics and personality. In addition to the vigorous gorilla, the series presents the chimpanzee, the spectacular tamarin and the intelligent black-capped capuchin with its characteristic skullcap formed by the hair on its head. In particular, the artistPia Langelund has captured the howler monkey in a very expressive attitude.Together the primate sculptures represent a fine composition that can be compared to a piece of music in which they each embody their own note. The series also includes a large gorilla, which contemplates the observer meditatively. The primates have been created in biscuit -unglazed white and dyed porcelain - which emphasises their beautiful forms. The constellation of porcelain and glass gives prominence to the expression containted in the sculpture in a delicate and gentle manner.
