Bing & Grondahl Aviation plate no. 1 DC-4 Skymaster was constructed as a civil passenger aircraft, but it flew during World War II in military version as C-54 Skymaster. After the War, a large number of C-54 were converted into DC-4 Skymaster. First flight with SAS was on September 17th 1946 from Copenhagen to New York
