The plates are designed by the artist Kurt Ard, who is particularly known for his illustrations for various magazines. The Family Life Plates were published by Bing & Grondahl in a limited edition.

Who does not remember how important it was to win at games? And once in a while you probably also got a card too much, or moved one more step forward than you should have done according to the dice.

Most parents have also tried to make an active child go to sleep, even though the child absolutely did not want to sleep. Or asked their son or daughter to clean up numerous times, but the room still looked like a battlefield. Most children and adults can recognize these situations and remember them, after some years even with a smile. All that Kurt Ard has managed to express in the best way in his drawings and people look at the Bing & Grondahl Family Life plates with a smile on their face and recognize the same situation.
