Bing & Grondahl 100 year anniversary plates

The Bing and Grondahl Centennial series consists of five plates of 15 cm, which were published from 1991 to 1995 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the world's first Christmas plate in 1985. The motifs of the B&G Centennial plates are all reproductions of motifs from previous years and naturally the motif of the last centennial plate issued in 1995 was taken from the first Christmas plate from Bing and Grondahl in 1895.

Several centennial plates were launched in 1995 to celebrate the Christmas plate and there was also produced a series of anniversary plaquettes of 11 cm. A beautiful vase with motif of the Copenhagen Towers was also released.

A very extraordinary plate, which was released to celebrate the anniversary was "Copenhagen Sunrise". The plates is decorated in a variety of colours and differs therefore significantly from the traditional blue Bing & Grondahl plates. There was also published a large centennial dish of 33 cm designed by Jørgen Nielsen.
