Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day Figurine 1996 Koala Bear no. 1916696

Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day Figurine 1996 with koala bear is a charming porcelain figurine that combines calm, presence and the soft design language that characterizes many of the most beloved B&G figurines. The koala is modeled sitting with a slightly bent body, round ears and the characteristic dark nose area, while the light glaze gives the figurine a quiet and harmonious expression.

The motif makes this Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine particularly interesting for collectors, because the koala bear is also the animal that appears on Bing & Grøndahl's Mother's Day plate from 1996. The figurine thus ties directly to the annual Mother's Day tradition and is an obvious choice for both collectors of B&G Mother's Day figurines and for those who collect Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day plates. It can stand beautifully on its own, but also fits naturally as part of a larger collection.

The design is by Allan Terkelsen, and the figurine is made of porcelain with underglaze, which emphasizes the calm interplay of colors in the light gray and white shades. Seen from several angles, the koala bear appears with a fine balance between naturalism and stylization. The soft transitions in the body and the relaxed sitting position give the figurine life, without the expression becoming restless.

An older Bing & Grøndahl figurine like this brings both history and personality into the home. It is a beautiful example of quality design created to last for many years and a sustainable choice for you who appreciate classic porcelain with collector's value. The figurine works well in the display cabinet, on a shelf or together with other animal figurines and Mother's Day figurines from the same series.

For anyone seeking a Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine from 1996, a B&G koala bear or a supplement to the Mother's Day plate from the same year, this figurine is an obvious find.
