Liisbjerg renewed Royal Copenhagen together with Arnold Krog. He thus was part of the great renewal and flourishing of Danish porcelain art. He played an important part in the development of the naturalist statue art in Danish porcelain.

He also stood for the figurine montage on Arnold Krog's the new development of Royal Copenhagens classic blue painted dinnerware.
