The symbolic meaning of the fish
The fish is one of the most important animal symbols. The fish is the waterelement and it represents fertility, abundance and subconsiousness. Typical figurines of the fish have been used as a wish for good luck, which is why the figurines from brands as Royanl Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl are the evident gift to the pregnant couple.
Pisces is furthermore the starsign for people born in between the 19th of February and the 20st of Marts. These people born in the sign of the fish are often very dreaming, unpredictable, spiritual, creative and full of fantasies. Give a beautiful and very personal gift!
Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl figurines of fish
When Bing & Grondahl and Royal Copenhagen produced a lot of fish figurines, the fishing industry was at its peak, and of utmost importance for Denmark. As with agriculture, fishing employed many people and therefore figurines of fish also are found in many fishermen's homes. Either because the special fish had an impact on the fisherman - if he fished for perch, there was probably a figure of perch in the living room - or simply because there would be a fish figurine in the house.
Today it is often anglers who are looking for specific fish figurines of their favorite fish. Figurines of perch, trout and eel are especially popular. Others are simply passionated collectors of all kinds of porcelain figurines of fish and collect Royal Copenhagen fish as well as Bing & Grondahl fish. Other people collect figurines made by a particular artist.

Mouth-blown glass figurines of fishSeveral glass fish reminds us of rainbow fish with its many colors, but there is also a more subdued glass fish in the form of the black and white striped fish.
The rainbow-colored fish can be put together in pairs to symbolize a male and a female.
The mouth-blown glass figurines of fish are a perfect gift for anglers or the aquarium-lover. Or just a gift for a loved one. Glass fish are available at a reasonable price and is therefore also a good awareness gift for the hostess instead of flowers or red wine.
You can place glass figurines together with our other glass items, such as a
colorful vase or
candleholders. We have, of course, many other
beautiful glass figurines of ducks, nodes, turtles, cats and penguins.
