Royal Copenhagen trout fish figurine no. 136 or 2676

Royal Copenhagen trout fish figurine no. 136/2676 is a classic porcelain figurine with a lifelike and calm expression. The figurine was designed by Francis Valdemar Platen-Hallermundt, who is known for his lively animal figurines, and here the fish is rendered with a fine balance between precision and simplicity. The elongated body, the slightly open mouth and the raised tail give the figurine movement, as if the trout is just gliding through the water.

The decoration emphasizes the natural character of the motif. In the pictures, a light body with a grey-blue back, dark spots along the upper side and a warm row of reddish-brown spots along the side can be seen. Fins and tail have soft beige shades, which give the figurine depth and a subdued, harmonious play of colors. This makes this Royal Copenhagen fish figurine suitable both as a collector's item and as a decorative detail in the home, where it fits beautifully among other Danish porcelain, nature motifs and classic Scandinavian interior design.

As an older porcelain figurine, it also contains the special charm that comes with design objects created to last for many years. It is precisely the type of decorative art and collectible porcelain that adds personality and history to the home, while at the same time being a conscious choice to let good craftsmanship live on. A fish figurine like this is ideal in a collection of Royal Copenhagen animal figurines, but also works well alone on a shelf, in a bookcase or as a gift for a collector, angler or lover of Danish design.
