Royal Copenhagen wire-haired terrier no. 3020 dog figurine

Royal Copenhagen wire-haired terrier no. 3020 is a characterful dog figurine in porcelain, where the motif is captured in the middle of a concentrated moment. The terrier's head is lowered all the way down toward the surface, the tail stands upright, and the body is tense in a natural, inquisitive posture. This gives the figurine a vivid expression, making it ideal for both collectors of dog figurines and for those who appreciate classic Danish porcelain with personality.

The figurine was created by Francis Valdemar Platen-Hallermundt, who is known for his convincing animal figurines. Here, his sure eye for anatomy, movement, and breed characteristics is clearly seen in the long body line, the sturdy legs, and the calm, focused expression. The wire-haired coat is modeled with fine textures, and the underglaze-decorated surface emphasizes the figurine's soft transition between white, gray, and light brownish shades. The result is a Royal Copenhagen dog figurine with both calm and intensity.

As an older porcelain figurine, this wire-haired terrier also contains the special value found in fine craftsmanship created to last. Vintage porcelain and decorative art with history give the home warmth and individuality, while at the same time it is a sustainable choice to let quality objects live on through generations. The figurine looks beautiful on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a collection of animal figurines, terrier figurines, or Royal Copenhagen porcelain.

It is also an obvious gift idea for a dog lover, terrier owner, or collector who appreciates classic porcelain figurines with a narrative motif. It is precisely this tracking stance that makes the model memorable, because it does not merely depict a dog, but captures a small moment from the dog's world.
