Royal Copenhagen Pointer puppy no. 259 or 051 by Erik Nielsen

Royal Copenhagen dog figurine no. 259 or 051 is a charming porcelain figurine with a seated puppy, modelled with a calm and thoughtful expression. The figurine has soft, natural lines and a fine balance between the simple and the lifelike, which makes Royal Copenhagen's animal figurines so sought-after. The white-glazed body is beautifully broken up by dark areas on the head, ears and side, which gives the figurine both depth and personality.

Erik Nielsen designed the figurine with an eye for the dog's body language and temperament. The slightly sloping head position, the long hanging ears and the relaxed seated posture give the figurine a presence that makes it ideal as both a collector's item and a decorative detail in the home. The underglaze decoration emphasises the soft transitions in the colours and gives the porcelain the clear, calm surface that many collectors associate with classic Royal Copenhagen porcelain.

This dog figurine fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a larger collection of Danish porcelain figurines and animal figurines. It is also an obvious choice for the dog lover who wants a gift with history, quality and lasting value. Older porcelain figurines like this add soul and personality to the home, and at the same time they are a sustainable choice for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship created to last for generations.

For collectors, the model number is an important detail, and precisely no. 259 or 051 makes the figurine easier to identify among Royal Copenhagen's classic dog figurines. It works well on its own, but can also be combined with other animal figurines in porcelain for a personal and atmospheric expression.
