Some years ago, the production of the mobile did not stop every year, because Georg Jensen continued the production of all the mobiles, so people always could complement the series and buy the old editions as new. This possibility does unfortunately not longer exist, so now you can only buy the old editions as second hand. As a result of this, especially the first years are much sought after, leading to higher prices.

To many people it is a tradition to decorate their home with the whole series of Georg Jensen Christmas mobiles every year at Christmas. Someone hang them on a string in the window or somewhere else in the room. Others give their grandchildren a Georg Jensen mobile as Christmas present every year or maybe just a single edition from the year the child was born.
