Royal Copenhagen duck in flight figure no. 124 or 2215

Royal Copenhagen duck in flight is a porcelain figurine with a lively and light expression, where the bird is captured at the moment it lifts itself. The figurine has a simple, elegant form with outstretched wings and dynamic body language, which gives it movement and character. The blue and grey shades over the white porcelain body emphasize the classic expression that many collectors and interior enthusiasts appreciate in Danish bird figurines.

The figurine is designed by Francis Valdemar Platen-Hallermundt, who is known for his lifelike and atmospheric animal figurines. Here, the duck is interpreted in a more streamlined and flying movement, so the figurine appears both calm and energetic at the same time. It is well suited as part of a collection of Royal Copenhagen bird figurines, but also stands beautifully alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as a discreet detail in the home interior.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they unite craftsmanship, history, and lasting quality. It is exactly the type of object that can find new life in a modern home and bring personality into the interior. A Royal Copenhagen duck figurine is also an obvious gift idea for the collector, the bird lover, or the one who appreciates Danish porcelain and design with soul.
