Bing & Grøndahl trout figurine no. 1803 by Dahl-Jensen

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 1803 depicts a trout in a calm, lifelike expression, where the fish's elongated body and gentle movement bring the figurine to life. The open mouth, the pronounced fins, and the fine spots along the side emphasize the character of the motif and make the figurine an atmospheric choice for both collectors of Bing & Grøndahl and for those who appreciate classic animal figurines in porcelain.

The figurine is made of porcelain with underglaze, which gives the surface a glossy depth and a beautiful transition between the gray, bluish, and light shades. The discreet color changes and the naturalistic decoration highlight the shape of the fish in a way that fits well into the Danish tradition of animal figurines, where craftsmanship and observation of nature go hand in hand. Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen is known for his lively animal motifs, and here one sees precisely the assured design that makes the figurine interesting both as decoration and as a collector's item.

A porcelain figurine like this adds personality and calm to the home. It works beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a larger collection of fish figurines and Bing & Grøndahl figurines. The motif also clearly appeals to the angler or nature lover, and the figurine is therefore a gift idea with both history and character. Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they were created to last and can still bring joy in a modern home many years after they were made.
