Sealyham Terrier Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2028

This Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2028 depicts a Sealyham Terrier in a lively and attentive posture, with its head slightly raised upward, as if the dog has just caught the scent of something exciting. The figurine has a fine, natural expression, and the glossy porcelain surface highlights both the soft shapes of the body and the terrier's characteristic head with a pronounced snout and small, alert eyes.

The white glaze is broken up by dark spots on the body as well as grayish tones at the ears, nose, and paws, which gives the figurine depth and personality. This makes it a decorative porcelain figurine that appeals both to collectors of Bing & Grøndahl and to dog lovers who appreciate classic animal figurines with soul. The motif is observed and modeled with the sense of movement and character that characterizes Jens Peter Dahl Jensen's animal figurines.

As a vintage dog figurine, it also carries the special charm that comes with older porcelain. It is precisely the type of object that gives the home warmth and personality, while at the same time choosing a quality product created to last for many years. A porcelain figurine like this fits beautifully on a shelf, on a desk, in a display cabinet collection, or as a personal gift for a terrier owner or collector of Danish porcelain.

Bing & Grøndahl dog figurines are sought after for their craftsmanship quality and their ability to capture the essence of the animal in a small format. This Sealyham Terrier is a good example of exactly that: a classic piece of Danish porcelain that functions both as decorative applied art and as a collector's item with history.
