Royal Copenhagen Sealyham dog figurine no. 20231 Erik Nielsen 12 cm

Royal Copenhagen Sealyham dog figurine no. 20231 depicts two playful terriers in a lively and charming motif, where one dog stands upright while the other lies on its back in the middle of play. The figurine captures a moment of movement, contact and personality, and it is precisely this narrative composition that makes it a dog figurine you keep looking at. The small shifts in heads, legs and bodies give the motif life, while the soft lines unite the figurine in a calm and harmonious expression.

Erik Nielsen has designed the model with a sure sense of the dogs' body language. The standing Sealyham has an upright posture and raised tail, while the other dog turns up toward its playmate with paws and head raised. In the white glaze, the modeled fur structures stand out beautifully along the legs, back and chest, and the discreet markings by the eyes and muzzle emphasize the character of the breed. It is a Royal Copenhagen figurine that contains both true-to-life observation and classic Danish porcelain design.

As a porcelain figurine, it fits beautifully in a collection of animal figurines, but it also works on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a side table, where the motif can be seen from several angles. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen and for dog lovers, this is a model with both decorative value and classic collector appeal. Older figurines like this one also carry forward the story of good craftsmanship and are a beautiful choice for those who would like to decorate with design objects with soul and give quality craftsmanship new life in the home.
