Bing & Grøndahl elephant figurine 1502 - Jens Peter Dahl Jensen

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 1502 depicts an elephant in a lively and characterful pose with raised trunk and visible tusks. The figurine has a calm, grey play of colors in the glaze, which highlights the body's shapes and the fine details in skin folds, legs, and head. This gives the elephant figurine a natural expression and a strong presence, whether it stands alone or as part of a collection of classic porcelain figurines.

Jens Peter Dahl Jensen is known for his lifelike animal figurines, and this is clearly seen here, where movement and personality have been captured in porcelain. The raised trunk gives the figurine energy and direction, while the seated position creates balance and calm. The combination makes this Bing & Grøndahl elephant a decorative piece of Danish porcelain that appeals both to collectors and to those who appreciate figurines with character and history.

As a porcelain figurine, the elephant fits beautifully on a shelf, on a side table, or in a display cabinet, where the glossy surface of the glaze can be allowed to play with the light. It can also be combined with other animal figurines in porcelain or with classic Scandinavian interior design, where it adds warmth, personality, and a touch of timeless design. Older porcelain figurines like this are also a fine choice for those who appreciate good craftsmanship and the pleasure of letting quality objects continue to live on in the home.

It is a figurine that has both decorative value and collector interest. The motif is easy to appreciate, and the carefully crafted form makes it suitable as a gift for collectors, animal lovers, or anyone who appreciates Bing & Grøndahl porcelain and classic animal figurines.
