Royal Copenhagen fish figurine Roach no. 2675

Royal Copenhagen fish figurine no. 2675 is a naturalistic porcelain figurine with a calm and lively expression. The figurine depicts a roach and is designed with an eye for the fish's characteristic body shape, the slightly arched back, the pronounced fins and the alert eye. The grey-blue shades across the back glide softly into a lighter belly, and the discreet scale pattern gives the surface depth and life.

Francis Valdemar Platen-Hallermundt is known for his animal figurines, and here his confident sense of movement and proportion is evident. The fish is modelled in a position that makes it appear almost swimming, even when it stands still on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of Royal Copenhagen figurines. The glossy glaze emphasizes the fine transitions in the decoration and gives the figurine a classic expression, which fits beautifully into both modern and more traditional homes.

As an older porcelain figurine, it also has the special charm that only design with history can add to an interior. It is precisely the type of decorative art and collectibles that deserve to live on and be appreciated again. A Royal Copenhagen fish figurine like this adds personality, storytelling and respect for fine craftsmanship, while also being a sustainable choice for those who want to decorate with quality rather than new production.

It is ideal for the collector of Danish porcelain figurines, for someone interested in fishing or as a gift for someone who loves Nordic design and classic porcelain. The figurine can stand alone as a characterful feature or be combined with other animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen for a personal and cohesive expression.
