Royal Copenhagen bowl with fish no. 931, A. Nielsen, 12 cm

Royal Copenhagen bowl with fish no. 931 is a characterful piece of porcelain, where form and motif merge together into one unified whole. The oval bowl is designed with a fish in relief, which rises from the edge and continues into the interior of the bowl, so that the decoration becomes an active part of the form. This gives a lively expression, which immediately attracts attention and makes the bowl more than just a utilitarian object.

The decoration is kept in soft blue-grey shades with underglaze, which emphasizes the calm, almost watery expression. In the pictures, fine details can be seen in the fish's scales, fins and eye, while the glaze glides beautifully over the surface and creates depth in the motif. It is precisely this combination of naturalistic motif and sculptural form that makes the model particularly interesting for collectors of Royal Copenhagen porcelain and classic animal figurines.

The design was created by A. Nielsen, and model number 931 is an important identification for you who are looking for a specific Royal Copenhagen fish bowl. The bowl fits beautifully into an interior with a focus on Danish design, porcelain with a figurative expression or maritime details. It can be used as a small decorative bowl on a table, in a display cabinet or on a shelf, where it adds both history and personality to the home.

Older porcelain like this has a special charm, because it was created with care and quality that can still be appreciated today. Choosing a vintage Royal Copenhagen bowl is also a fine way to carry good craftsmanship forward and let a beautiful design object gain new life in a modern home. It is ideal as a gift for a porcelain collector, for the design enthusiast or for you who are fond of animal motifs in classic Danish porcelain.
