Royal Copenhagen fish figurine 1602 trout by Knud Møller

Royal Copenhagen fish figurine no. 1602 is a lifelike porcelain figurine with a calm and lively expression. The slender fish shape, the slightly open mouth, and the pronounced fins give the figurine movement, while the glaze gathers the muted nuances in grey, brownish tones and a light belly into a harmonious overall impression. The motif brings a trout to mind, and the figurine has a fine balance between naturalism and classic Danish porcelain design.

The figurine is executed after a design by Knud Møller and appears as a good example of Royal Copenhagen's work with animal figurines, where observation of nature and confident design go hand in hand. Model number 1602 is an important detail for collectors, and fish figurines from Royal Copenhagen in particular are sought after both among those who collect Danish porcelain and among those who are fond of maritime or nature-inspired elements in interior decoration.

As decoration, this porcelain figurine fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a more personal arrangement with ceramics, glass, and other figurines with history. It also works well as a gift idea for the fisherman, the nature lover, or the collector who appreciates classic Royal Copenhagen. When you choose older porcelain and design with history, you also get a quality product created to last and to bring joy onward in new surroundings.

This model is registered as Royal Copenhagen no. 1602, designed by Knud Møller, executed in porcelain with underglaze, and the measurement is stated as 12 cm in length and 4 cm in height.
