Bing & Grøndahl salmon trout figurine 2366 or 502, Emil Petersen, 22 cm

This large salmon trout from Bing & Grøndahl is a porcelain figurine with a striking, lively form, where the fish is modeled in a curved movement with raised tail and open mouth. The glossy underglaze and the blue-gray shades highlight the body's scales, fins, and dark spots, giving the figurine a lifelike and distinctive expression. The motif is particularly well suited to those seeking a classic Bing & Grøndahl fish figurine, porcelain fish figurine, or Danish animal figurine with clear decorative strength.

The figurine is associated with Emil Petersen, and the current product text states model number 2366, while later numbering is also seen as 502. The combination of the naturalistic motif and the precise modeling makes it suitable both as a collector's item and as a distinctive detail in the interior. It stands beautifully on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of an arrangement with other animal figurines, porcelain figurines, or maritime decorative art.

It is precisely the type of older porcelain figurine that adds personality and history to the home. A figurine like this carries classical Danish porcelain tradition and is made to last for many years, which also makes it a fine choice for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, Royal Copenhagen, and fish figurines in porcelain. The calm color scheme makes it easy to combine with both light, Nordic surroundings and more traditional collections.
