Royal Copenhagen kingfisher with fish figurine 2257 or 126, 18 cm

Royal Copenhagen kingfisher figurine no. 2257 or 126 is a classic bird figurine in porcelain, which combines a nature motif and Danish porcelain craftsmanship in a form that is easy to recognize. The figurine shows a kingfisher with a small fish in its beak, captured in an upward-facing and alert moment, where the entire silhouette takes on a lively and concentrated expression. The deep blue shades on the back and wings stand beautifully against the light breast color and the white base.

Peter Herold has created a figurine with a distinctive vertical composition, where the bird's long beak, upright posture and close placement on the base give the model calm and direction. The underglaze highlights the play of colors nicely and gives the surface the clear, glossy character that many collectors and interior enthusiasts associate with Royal Copenhagen. It is precisely the interplay between lifelike details and stylized simplicity that makes the figurine so useful both as a collector's item and as a decorative feature in the home.

This porcelain figurine fits beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of an arrangement with other bird figurines and classic Danish design. The kingfisher adds a calm touch of nature to the room and also works well as a gift for a collector or for someone who is fond of bird motifs, porcelain and older quality design. When choosing a figurine like this, you are also choosing a piece of decorative art with history and durability, which can continue to bring joy in a modern interior.

The motif with the fish in the beak is an important part of the figurine's identity and gives the model extra character. It is a detail that makes it easy to distinguish it from other bird figurines and at the same time emphasizes the story in the motif. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, the model number is therefore important information.
