Deer Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2007 Jean René Gaugain 19 cm

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2007 depicts a deer with antlers in a low, tense movement, with its head lowered and body stretched forward over the base. The motif has a calm strength, and the simple lines give the figurine a distinct, almost sculptural expression. It is precisely the type of porcelain figurine many look for when they want classic Danish design with animals as the motif and a special combination of nature storytelling and formal awareness.

The figurine is made of porcelain with underglaze and is designed by Jean René Gaugain for Bing & Grøndahl. The light surface and the tight modeling emphasize the deer's anatomy, the shape of the antlers, and the characteristic stance, where the animal appears both attentive and in motion. It fits well among other animal figurines in porcelain, but also stands strongly on its own in a bookcase, a display cabinet, or on a chest of drawers, where it can add a calm, Nordic touch to the interior.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special presence in the home. They are created to last a long time and bring with them history, craftsmanship, and personality. A Bing & Grøndahl deer is also an obvious choice for collectors of Danish figurines and for those who would like to give beautiful design new life. As a gift idea, it is well suited for someone who appreciates nature motifs, Danish porcelain, or classic collector's items with character.
