Bing & Grøndahl Arabian horse figurine no. 2271, 27 cm

Bing & Grøndahl Arabian horse figurine no. 2271 is a porcelain figurine with a calm and upright expression, where the classic Arabian horse is depicted with a raised head, slender body and high tail carriage. The figurine stands on a rectangular base, which emphasizes the precise silhouette and gives the model a clean, unified expression. The light glaze with gray-toned, speckled areas over the legs, neck and hindquarters highlights the horse's musculature and gives the figurine life from all angles.

It is a horse figurine that fits naturally into both the classic porcelain collection and a more modern interior, where a few carefully chosen objects are allowed to stand out. The Arabian horse's characteristic lightness and pride make the figurine decorative on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a side table, where it can stand alone or together with other animal figurines in porcelain. The glossy underglaze gives the surface depth and a fine play in the gray nuances.

Bing & Grøndahl is a name many collectors associate with Danish porcelain and strong modeling, and this figurine is a good example of exactly that. Model number 2271 is an important detail for collectors and for those seeking a particular Bing & Grøndahl horse figurine. The figurine is also an obvious choice for you who are fond of horses, Danish design history and older quality objects that still have a natural place in the home. Choosing vintage porcelain is at the same time a fine way to give good craftsmanship new life and let objects with history continue to be appreciated.
