How to sell at DPH Trading

General information about selling to DPH

At DPH Trading, we are always open to buying items from both private individuals and businesses. However, over the past 50+ years, we have built an ENORMOUS inventory of glass, porcelain and similar items, including Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Groendahl porcelain.

Therefore, we are only interested in buying items we are not already overstocked on, and only when the total purchase price exceeds DKK 5,000. You can see which items we primarily buy by clicking the link below.

Please note:

• DPH Trading does not offer home visits for evaluations or pickups. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity for that – all items must be delivered to our address in Odense.
• DPH Trading ONLY provides purchase prices for items we are currently interested in buying.
• As a rule, we only offer total prices – not prices per individual item.

Two ways you can sell to DPH

1. Send an email (Recommended)

TIP: Before spending a lot of time describing and sending emails about what you are considering selling, we recommend that you check our description of what DPH is currently purchasing

To get as precise a bid as possible, you can send us a brief email at [email protected]. Such an email should include:

• A list of the items, their item numbers (article/dinnerware or figurine number), grade, and quantity.
• Possibly, a few photos, compressed to take up as little space as possible.

Items with defects usually have low or no value and should therefore not be listed. In some cases, we may pay something for items with defects, but we can only assess that when we have the items in hand. - So please omit items with defects when listing what you would like a written bid on.

Written offers are binding for 14 days from the date of the offer, unless otherwise stated. However, we reserve the right to correct obvious errors.

Example of list:

• 1 piece Baby Bing & Groendahl figurine no. 1995 (1st grade)
• 1 piece Bear cub, stoneware figurine, Royal Copenhagen no. 21432 (2nd grade)
• 5 pieces Empire coffee cup with saucer, Bing & Groendahl no. 102 (1st grade)*
• 1 piece Soeholm tray 3332-2
• 1 piece Bjoern Wiinblad Christmas plate 1971

*Cup and saucer are considered one unit. If you only have a cup without a saucer or vice versa, these have no special value. Therefore, please do not list them, but optionally bring them along when selling.

Note: If you do not specify anything about quality, we assume it is 1st grade and calculate the price accordingly. If something turns out to be 2nd grade, a reduction in the price of these items must be expected.

2. Call and arrange a time

You can also call and arrange a meeting in our store in Odense. Always call in advance and agree on date and time to avoid unnecessary travel.

If we are interested in purchasing, we will make a purchase offer immediately. Calculation errors or misunderstandings may occur, but this happens rarely. If you want a binding offer, please provide your name, phone number, and email so we can send you a written offer. For larger quantities of units, you will be asked to send an email, as described above.

Once we have received your inquiry

We strive to respond within 1-4 business days, but there may be periods of longer waiting times. If we are not interested in your items, you will also be notified.

If we make you a purchase offer, you need to contact us to arrange delivery of your items to our address. We do not pick up from the seller, so it is your responsibility to deliver the items to our address in Odense N. The seller pays for the delivery and is responsible for safe shipment. DPH does not accept responsibility for items that are not properly packaged. Remember to bring valid identification, such as a driver's license or passport.

How to receive payment for your items

When you sell items to DPH Trading, you can receive your payment in various ways. It typically depends on how you deliver the items to us. Read about the different ways you can get your money below:

If you deliver your items in person

If you choose to deliver your items to us in person, you can receive payment via:

• Bank transfer
• Debit card/Visa payment - transfer directly to your account

If you deliver via parcel post/freight carrier

If you choose to deliver your items to us via a freight carrier or send them as a parcel, you can receive payment via:

• Bank transfer (Preferred)
• PayPal (Payment fee 6%)

For deliveries via carrier, a bank transfer is preferred. In order for us to transfer payment to you, it is necessary for you to provide your account number and sort code. Your bank details will remain with us.

Note! We are unable to pick up parcels from parcel shops. Therefore, we ask you to send the items directly to us - See our address here.
