Royal Copenhagen Frog on stone figurine no. 507 or 061

Royal Copenhagen Frog on stone figurine no. 507 or 061 is a small porcelain figurine with a calm, lifelike expression and the particular closeness to the animal motif that characterizes classic Danish animal figurines. The green frog sits raised on a round stone shape, where the glossy underglaze brings the surface to life and highlights the figurine's simple, precise modeling.

The figurine is designed by Erik Nielsen, who is known for his lively and finely observed animal motifs for Royal Copenhagen. Here the expression is subdued and harmonious: the frog's body is modeled with soft lines, and the green glaze stands beautifully against the light stone in white and light blue tones. This makes the figurine decorative both on its own and together with other porcelain figurines, especially in a collection with animals, nature motifs or classic Danish design.

As a porcelain figurine, Frog on stone is an obvious choice for the display cabinet, the bookshelf, the desk or a small arrangement, where you would like to add a discreet piece of Danish craftsmanship to the home. The compact size makes it easy to place, and precisely the small Royal Copenhagen figurines have a special ability to create personality without taking up much space. For collectors, the figurine number is an important detail, and this model is often sought after both as no. 507 and no. 061.

Older porcelain figurines like this one also have value by virtue of their history. They are created to last, and when they are allowed to live on in a new home, they are both a beautiful collector's item and a sustainable alternative to new production. It is the type of object that brings joy for many years, and which is also a fine gift for someone who is fond of Royal Copenhagen, frog figurines or Danish porcelain with character.
