Royal Copenhagen Kaspar king with gold candlestick no. 333

Royal Copenhagen Kaspar, king with gold, is an atmospheric porcelain candlestick with a motif from the story of the three holy kings. The figure is shaped as a crowned king with a calm, dignified expression and with the gift of gold highlighted in his hand. The white porcelain form and the golden details give a warm and classic Christmas expression that fits beautifully into both traditional and simpler Nordic interior design.

The candlestick is designed by Finn Næss-Schmidt and unites figure, story and function in one design. The crown forms the candle bowl itself, so the figure functions both as decoration and as a Christmas candlestick. This makes it ideal as part of the Christmas arrangement on a table, windowsill or chest of drawers, where it can stand alone or be combined with the other wise men in the series. Together they create a coherent expression with reference to the classic Christmas story.

The Kaspar candlestick also appeals to collectors of Royal Copenhagen figures and Christmas decorations. The motif of one of the three wise men gives it a special place among Danish Christmas figures, and the combination of porcelain, underglaze and gold details emphasizes the craftsmanship quality. For many, it is precisely older Christmas decorations and figures in porcelain that give the home personality in December, and at the same time it is a beautiful way to choose lasting quality objects with history over new production.

As a gift idea, this Royal Copenhagen candlestick is ideal for someone who is fond of classic Danish Christmas decorations, porcelain figures or collector's items with a religious and historical motif. It can be used year after year and help create the special calm and warmth that characterize the best traditions of Christmas.
