Royal Copenhagen Roaring Monkey no. 067 - Pia Langelund monkey figurine

Royal Copenhagen Roaring Monkey no. 067 is a striking monkey figurine with a strong and concentrated expression. Pia Langelund has designed the figure with a taut, almost sound-filled movement, where the open mouth, the forward-bent body and the characteristically curved tail give the sculpture life and presence. It is a figure that immediately catches the eye and adds character to the room.

In this monkey sculpture, the expression is simple and sculptural, yet at the same time full of personality. The dark, matte surface emphasizes the figure's powerful forms, while the face, hands and tail stand out clearly in the design. The roaring monkey appears both upright, alert and energetic, and it is precisely that balance that makes the figure exciting to display as part of the interior.

The figure was created in collaboration between Royal Copenhagen and the artist Pia Langelund as part of a series of monkey figurines, where each sculpture interprets its own species and its own temperament. According to the existing product description, the series is made in bisquit, that is unglazed and colored porcelain, and the combination of porcelain and glass helps to emphasize the sculptural expression. This gives the figure a calm, modern weight that fits beautifully into both classic and more simple homes.

A Royal Copenhagen monkey figurine like this is ideal for those who appreciate Danish design, porcelain figurines and decorative collector's items with a more artistic touch. It stands beautifully on its own, but can also be combined with other figures from the monkey series to create a lively and personal display. As a gift, it is a reliable choice for the collector, the design lover or anyone who would like to give a figurine with both humor, strength and design awareness.
