Bing & Grøndahl Annual Angel Children 2004 boy with hymn book

Bing & Grøndahl Annual Angel Children 2004 depicts a little angel boy with a hymn book and a calm, contemplative expression. The figure is designed with white garments, light wings and an open book with blue details, which give the motif a classic Christmas touch and an atmosphere of festivity, song and presence. It is a porcelain figure that fits beautifully into the Christmas decorations, but which can also stand out as an atmospheric angel figure all year round.

The design was created by Sven Vestergaard, and the figure is the first in the Angel Children series. This is precisely what makes it extra interesting for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figures and Royal Copenhagen related releases. The motif of the boy and the hymn book naturally connects to Christmas traditions, churchgoing and communal singing, and the figure therefore has both decorative value and a story in which many will be able to reflect their own memories.

The soft modelling and the underglaze-decorated surface emphasize the calm expression that characterizes this type of Christmas figure from Bing & Grøndahl. The figure is ideal as a gift for a collector, as a Christmas gift or as a personal addition to a collection of angel figures, elves and other classic Danish Christmas decorations in porcelain. At the same time, it is a figure with history, which can still bring joy in a modern home, where older quality design and collectibles are given new life.

If you are fond of porcelain figures with motifs of angels, children and Christmas, Annual Angel Children 2004 is a fine choice with both collector's value and a warm, traditional atmosphere. It can stand alone or be combined with other figures in the series for a more cohesive expression.
