Royal Copenhagen polar bear with cub figurine no. 353 Allan Therkelsen

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 353 with polar bear and cub brings together strength, calm, and care in one composition. The adult polar bear sits heavily and protectively, while the cub moves forward beneath the body in a close and natural motion. The motif gives the figurine a warm and intimate expression, which makes it more than a classic animal figurine in porcelain - it also tells a story of maternal instinct, security, and life in the Arctic regions.

Allan Therkelsen has created a polar bear figurine with a lifelike formal language, where the structure of the fur is modeled with fine waves and soft transitions, which give the surface life. In the pictures, the white glaze is seen with discreet grayish nuances and dark markings at the eyes, snout, and claws, which emphasize the figurine's calm character. The figurine is made in porcelain and underglaze, a technique that suits the motif and gives a harmonious, lasting expression, which many collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines appreciate.

As a porcelain figurine, polar bear with cub fits beautifully in both a display cabinet, on a shelf, or as part of an arrangement with other bear figurines and animal figurines. It is also a gift idea for collectors of Danish porcelain, Royal Copenhagen, and Nordic animal motifs. Older figurines like this have a special ability to add personality and history to the home, and they are at the same time a sustainable choice for those who want to preserve good craftsmanship and give classic design new life in the interior.
