Bjørn Wiinblad mask large hand-decorated blue/white or multi colour

This large Bjørn Wiinblad mask instantly brings life, fantasy and personality into the room. The characteristic face with the large dark eyes, the pink cheeks and the little smile is classic Wiinblad: poetic, human and full of warmth. The round shape and the simple ears give the mask an almost theatrical expression, while the hand-decorated surface adds variation and presence from piece to piece.

Along the forehead, a decorative border can be seen with soft colours and fine details, which emphasise the playful line Bjørn Wiinblad is known for. Here, folk art, fantasy and Danish design tradition meet each other in a figure that appears both decorative and narrative. The mask works as a striking wall decoration or as an artistic feature in a collection of ceramics, figures and decorative arts with character.

Bjørn Wiinblad has a special place in Danish design history, and his figures and decorative objects continue to be sought after among both collectors and those who want a home with more soul. This large mask from Bjørn Wiinblads Værksted is a good example of his ability to create joy through form, facial expression and ornamentation. It fits beautifully into both colourful homes, creative interiors and more simple rooms, where it can stand as a vivid eye-catcher.

The hand-decorated execution makes the mask ideal for anyone who appreciates craftsmanship and original design objects. It can hang alone as a small work of art or be combined with other Wiinblad figures, plates and decorative objects to create a personal wall or shelf with Danish design and collector appeal.
