Bing & Grøndahl figure no. 1625 Woman and child porcelain figurine

Bing & Grøndahl figure no. 1625 is a porcelain figurine with a warm and intimate motif of a woman and a child. The figurine captures a quiet moment of care and security, where the adult bends protectively over the child. This gives the porcelain figurine a calm and human expression, which fits beautifully into a collection of classic figures with a family theme.

The motif is finely balanced with a kneeling woman, a child in a dress and head covering, as well as a small jug beside them on the base. These very visible details give the figure character and tell of everyday life, closeness and the relationship between parent and child. The colors appear subdued, and the soft modeling emphasizes the calm expression that characterizes many older Bing & Grøndahl figures.

This porcelain figurine is made in underglaze, which is a valued technique within Danish porcelain. It provides a beautiful and durable surface and contributes to the figurine's classical overall impression. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figure, porcelain figurine with mother and child or Danish family figures, no. 1625 is an obvious choice.
