Bing & Grøndahl Greenlander with child figure no. 2412

Bing & Grøndahl figure no. 2412, "Greenlander with child", is a porcelain figurine with an intimate and calm motif, where an adult and a child are gathered in a close, protective movement. The figurine conveys care, closeness, and everyday life with a simplicity that makes it both strong and human in its expression. It is exactly the type of figurine many look for when they search for classic Bing & Grøndahl figurines with story and character.

The motif is modeled with soft lines and fine transitions, which give the figurine a lively and harmonious overall impression. The adult is squatting, while the child stands close against the body, and the interplay between the two creates a scene full of warmth. In the pictures, costumes are seen kept in light shades with white surfaces combined with muted brownish and blue tones, which support the figurine's calm and timeless expression.

The figurine is designed by Karl Kristoffersen and executed in porcelain with underglaze, which suits Bing & Grøndahl's tradition of figurines with both artistic sensitivity and solid craftsmanship beautifully. For collectors of porcelain figurines, national motifs, and older Danish decorative art, this is a model that stands out through its intimate motif and its clear story. At the same time, it is a decorative figurine that can easily be included in a modern interior, where it adds history, personality, and a quiet, human presence to the home.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special value because they are created to be preserved and appreciated through generations. Choosing a figurine with history is also a beautiful choice for you who appreciate quality and wish to give classic design new life in the home. It is suitable both for a display cabinet, bookshelf, or as a gift for a collector who appreciates Bing & Grøndahl, porcelain, and figurines with soul.
