Bing & Grøndahl clown figurine no. 509 or 2509

This Bing & Grøndahl clown figurine has an expression that immediately brings a smile. The figurine stands with its hands down by its sides and a slightly turned, almost dancing posture, which gives it a lively and theatrical character. The gentle face with a round nose, the broad smile, and the relaxed body posture give the figurine that special blend of warmth, thoughtfulness, and stage atmosphere that many collectors appreciate in classic porcelain clown figurines.

The clown is made of porcelain with underglaze and appears in light shades with fine blue details on the costume as well as darker shoes and suspenders. The simple color scheme emphasizes the figurine's calm and characterful appearance. It is precisely the combination of humor, craftsmanship, and understated decoration that makes this porcelain figurine suitable both as a collector's figurine and as a decorative detail in the home.

Bing & Grøndahl is known for figurines with personality, and this model is a good example of how a small motif can contain a great deal of atmosphere. The clown figurine fits beautifully in a collection of theatre figurines, fairy-tale figurines, or classic porcelain figurines, but it can also stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or on a small table, where it adds charm and historical depth to the room.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special appeal because they were created to be preserved and enjoyed for many years. Choosing vintage porcelain is also a fine way to give existing quality design new life. This makes the figurine an obvious choice for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, for lovers of clown figurines, and for those who want decorative art and collectibles with soul and history.
