Bing & Grøndahl seal figurine 2472 or 543 in porcelain

This Bing & Grøndahl seal figurine captures a calm and natural moment, where the seal lies relaxed with the body slightly turned and the head raised. The shape is soft and organic, and the figurine has a fine, lively expression with discreet markings at the eyes and snout. The white porcelain body makes the motif appear clean and simple, while the modeled details in the fur give the surface character and depth.

As a porcelain figurine, it has a classic Danish expression, where the nature motif is interpreted with a sure sense of both anatomy and mood. Bing & Grøndahl is known for animal figurines with presence, and this seal is a good example of precisely that: a figurine that seems calm, balanced and easy to place in the decor. It fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as part of a collection of Nordic porcelain and animal figurines.

The figurine is also an obvious choice for those who are fond of older porcelain with history and quality. Collector figurines like this bring personality into the home and are at the same time a sustainable choice, because beautiful craftsmanship is allowed to live on and be appreciated anew. It can stand alone as a decorative feature or be combined with other porcelain figurines from Bing & Grøndahl for a more cohesive expression.

The current registration indicates both figurine no. 543 and 2472 as well as new no. 1020543, which makes it easier to identify for collectors and others who are looking for exactly this model.
