Bing & Grøndahl Impala figurine 1693 - Lauritz Jensen

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 1693 depicts a reclining impala with a calm, attentive expression and the characteristic, twisted horns lifted elegantly up from the head. The figurine has a finely balanced design language, where the slender neck, the folded legs and the soft body line give the motif both lightness and weight at the same time. It is an animal figurine that captures the moment between rest and alertness.

The subdued grey-brown shades and the glossy underglaze emphasize the figurine's calm overall impression. In the pictures, a beautiful modelling of the head, ears and horns can be seen, while the body is kept simple and harmonious, so that the eye naturally gathers on the animal's upright posture. Lauritz Jensen has created a porcelain figurine with a fine understanding of the animal's anatomy and character, and it is precisely the naturalistic, yet still stylish design that makes the figurine ideal for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl animal figurines.

As a vintage porcelain figurine, this impala has the special charm that comes with older Danish craftsmanship. It brings both history and personality into the interior and is an obvious choice for you who appreciate classic figurines, Nordic design and objects with lasting value. The figurine works beautifully on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of porcelain animals from Bing & Grøndahl.

At the same time, it is a gift idea with character for the collector, the nature lover or the one who appreciates Danish porcelain with a motif world taken from wildlife. The calm appearance makes it easy to place in both classic and modern homes.
