Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine 2001 seal pup no. 1916901

Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine 2001 with seal pup is a charming porcelain figurine that captures the calm and soft expression that characterizes the beloved B&G Mother's Day figurines. The little seal lies relaxed with a round body, small flippers and an open, lively face, where the dark eyes and the fine details around the snout and whiskers give the figurine presence and personality.

The figurine is part of the series of Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurines, and that is precisely what makes it particularly interesting for collectors. The animal on the Mother's Day figurine from 2001 is the same animal seen on Bing & Grøndahl's Mother's Day plate from the same year. Therefore, this B&G Mother's Day figurine is an obvious choice, both if you collect Mother's Day figurines, and if you are also fond of Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day plates and would like to link figurine and plate together around the motif of the year.

The seal pup is made in underglaze and appears in white shades with discreet, soft markings on the surface, which emphasize the figurine's natural form. The expression is simple and warm at the same time, and the figurine fits nicely into both classic porcelain collections and a modern home, where small figurines with history and character are allowed to create atmosphere on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a personal arrangement.

Older porcelain figurines like this one hold a special joy, because they are created to be preserved and appreciated through many years. A vintage Bing & Grøndahl Mother's Day figurine adds soul and story to the home and is at the same time a beautiful choice for you who appreciate fine craftsmanship and the sustainable joy of giving quality design new life. As a single figurine, the seal pup stands strongly on its own, but it can also be the missing figurine in a collection of B&G Mother's Day figurines.
