Guinea Pig Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2499 porcelain 10 cm

This guinea pig from Bing & Grøndahl is a charming porcelain figurine that captures the animal's calm and slightly curious expression in a simple and very Danish way. The figurine is made as a sitting guinea pig with soft, rounded shapes, white glaze and dark markings around the head and hindquarters. In front of the body, a green leaf can be seen, which brings the figurine to life and emphasizes the natural motif.

Bing & Grøndahl is known for porcelain figurines with fine animal motifs, and figurine no. 2499 fits beautifully into that tradition. The smooth surface and the underglaze decoration give the figurine a calm and harmonious expression, which makes it suitable both as a collector's figurine and as a personal detail in the décor. It works well alone on a shelf, in a bookcase or in a display cabinet, but can also be combined with other animal figurines in porcelain for a more unified expression.

A figurine like this also has the special quality of bringing history and craftsmanship into the home. Older porcelain figurines from Bing & Grøndahl are created to last, and that is precisely why they continue to be sought after among collectors and among those who appreciate classic Danish design with soul. The guinea pig is also an obvious gift idea for the animal lover, the collector or for someone who appreciates small porcelain figurines with character.

At DPH - Danish Porcelain House, this type of figurine is a fine example of how decorative art and collectibles with history can still create joy in a modern home. It is a small figurine with a friendly expression, which easily finds its place and adds warmth, nostalgia and personality.
