Otto Pedersen (1902 - 1995) was a highly recognized artist from Funen, who had a background from the Technical School in Odense and was a self-taught sculptor. He was also a member of the Funen Spring Exhibition, where he presented his works.
His works were exhibited at prominent exhibitions, including the Spring Exhibition in Odense, the Artists' Autumn Exhibition, Fyns Forum, the National Gallery of Denmark, and many more.
Already in his early works, he used wood as a material to create the characteristic and delicate female figures he is known for. This specific piece is no exception.
