Svend Lindhart ceramic figurine no. 40 girl from Greenland "TUT"

This ceramic figurine by Svend Lindhart combines simplicity, calm, and character in a motif that immediately draws attention. The figurine depicts a girl from Greenland and is made in white glaze, which gives the surface a soft, clean, and almost sculptural expression. The light glazing highlights the figurine's fine lines and the quiet, contemplative posture, where the head is slightly bowed and the hand brought up toward the chin.

The motif has a particularly present atmosphere. The slender figure stands on a round base and wears boots, while the hair is gathered in a bun at the top of the head. It is precisely the interplay between the simple white glaze and the distinct shapes that makes the figurine decorative from all angles. It fits beautifully into an interior where one wants a classic craft art object with personality, but also in a more modern home, where a white ceramic figurine can add calm and materiality.

Svend Lindhart is a name that many collectors and design enthusiasts associate with Danish ceramics and figurative art. Here you get a model where both motif and execution make it ideal for collectors of Lindhart figurines, ceramic female figurines, and Nordic-inspired applied art. On the figurine the inscription "TUT" can be seen, and according to the existing product text it is signed TUT and Sv. Lindhart. On the base, the name LINDHART can also be seen as part of the figurine.

Older ceramic figurines like this one have a very special ability to add history and soul to the home. They are created to last, to be appreciated, and to be passed on from one owner to the next. Therefore, vintage ceramics are not only a beautiful choice, but also a sustainable way to furnish with quality, craftsmanship, and narrative.

The figurine can stand alone as a small art object on the shelf, on the chest of drawers, or in the display cabinet, but it can also be combined with other Danish ceramics, porcelain, or smaller sculptures for a personal and composed expression.
