Bing & Grøndahl Earache figurine no. 2209 or 456 white figurine

Bing & Grøndahl's Earache figurine is a charming white porcelain figurine with lots of personality. The motif shows a small child standing on a round base with both hands up to the ears, as if all attention is focused on the little pain. The simple white expression gives the figurine calm, while the posture and facial expression add life, humor and recognizability.

The figurine is designed by Svend Lindhart and belongs to the well-known Blanc de Chine figurines from Bing & Grøndahl. In this series, the small emotions and experiences of everyday life are interpreted with a fine balance between the poetic and the human. Earache is precisely a figurine that captures a moment most people can smile at in recognition, and that is a large part of its enduring appeal among collectors of Danish porcelain figurines.

The smooth white glaze emphasizes the soft shapes and the clean lines, which make this porcelain figurine easy to place in the decor. It works beautifully alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection with other white figurines from Bing & Grøndahl and Royal Copenhagen. At the same time, it is an obvious choice for those who love classic Danish figurative art, where motif and model stand strong without the use of colors.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add history and soul to the home. Choosing vintage porcelain is also a way to appreciate fine craftsmanship and design, created to be preserved and bring joy through generations. Earache is therefore both a collector's item and a decorative figurine with timeless character.
