Bing & Grøndahl Toothache white figurine no. 2207 or 454

Toothache is a white Bing & Grøndahl figurine with an expression that immediately awakens recognition. The child stands slightly bent forward on the round base with the head tilted and both hands pressed up against the cheeks, as if the pain fills the whole moment. The simple white porcelain lets the form speak for itself and highlights the figurine's soft modelling, the small face and the characteristic posture.

The figurine is designed by Svend Lindhart and has the special blend of humour, warmth and human observation that makes classic porcelain figurines so charming to collect. The current documentation tells that the model is one of the four pains, and that precisely gives the figurine extra interest for collectors of white figurines, Blanc de Chine and older Bing & Grøndahl models. The motif is simple, but very lively, and that makes Toothache a figurine that you keep noticing.

As a white porcelain figurine, it fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes. It stands beautifully alone in a bookcase, in a display cabinet or on a smaller shelf, where the light can catch the glossy glaze and the fine shapes. It can also be combined with other white figurines from Bing & Grøndahl - Royal Copenhagen for a calm and unified expression. For many, it is precisely this kind of vintage porcelain that adds personality and history to the interior, while at the same time choosing a quality product that is created to last and be appreciated through generations.

Toothache is therefore an obvious choice for collectors of Danish porcelain figurines, for you who appreciate Svend Lindhart's design language, or as a gift for someone who appreciates classic Danish design with character and narrative.
