Bing & Grøndahl Headache figurine no. 2206 or 453

Headache from Bing & Grøndahl is a small white porcelain figurine with great expressiveness. The figurine shows a child standing slightly bent forward with both hands against the head, as if the pain and discomfort can almost be felt. The simple white glaze focuses attention on the movement of the body and the sensitive facial expression, so the motif appears both vivid and recognizable.

This figurine is made in Blanc de Chine and has the calm, light expression that makes white porcelain so suitable in interior design. The sculptural form and the glossy surface give the figurine a classic character, while the motif adds humor, humanity and character. It is precisely that combination that makes the figurine interesting both for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and for those of you who are looking for a porcelain figurine with personality.

The figurine is designed by Svend Lindhart and belongs among the well-known motifs called the four pains. Headache is therefore not just a decorative white figurine, but also part of a larger story in Danish porcelain design. It stands beautifully on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a small table, where its expression is really allowed to come forward. At the same time, it is ideal to combine with other Royal White figurines or other white porcelain figurines, if you are fond of a light and timeless expression.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they carry both history and fine craftsmanship with them. Choosing vintage porcelain is also a beautiful way to give enduring quality objects new life in a modern home. Headache is a fine addition to a collection of Danish figurines and a gift idea for anyone who appreciates classic porcelain, humorous motifs and design with soul.
