Polar bear cub figurine 2535 or 535 Bing & Grøndahl Merete Agergaard

Polar bear cub figurine no. 2535, also known as 535, is a classic porcelain figurine from Bing & Grøndahl - Royal Copenhagen, designed by Merete Agergaard. The figurine shows a standing polar bear cub in motion with a low posture, outstretched front paws and a calm, attentive expression. The white glaze emphasizes the simple and lifelike design language, while the dark details at the eyes, snout and paws give the figurine life and character.

It is precisely the combination of soft lines and precise modeling that makes this bear figurine so appealing. The polar bear cub has a fine weight in the body and a natural posture, which gives the impression of a curious animal making its way forward across the ice. Merete Agergaard's animal figurines are appreciated for their calm expression and credible rendering of the animals' movements, and this figurine is no exception. According to the existing product text, the model is part of a series of four polar bear cubs, which makes it especially interesting for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines and Royal Copenhagen animal figurines.

As a porcelain figurine, it fits beautifully in both a display cabinet, on a bookcase and on a shelf together with other Nordic animal figurines in porcelain. It also works well as a gift for the collector, for the nature enthusiast or for you who love Danish design with a motif from the animal world. Older porcelain figurines like this bring history and personality into the décor and are at the same time a beautiful choice for you who appreciate fine craftsmanship and the joy of letting quality design live on in new homes.
