Bing & Grøndahl polar bear cub figurine 2538 or 538 9 cm

Bing & Grøndahl figurine 2538 or 538 depicts a polar bear cub lying on its back with its paws drawn in toward the body. The motif has a calm and playful expression, and the soft shapes give the figurine a present character that makes it easy to notice in the decor. The white porcelain figurine is modeled with fine transitions in the surface, while the nose, eyes, and the dark details under the paws create life and contrast.

The figurine is designed by Merete Agergaard and belongs among Bing & Grøndahl's sought-after animal figurines. Here the expression is natural and simple, yet at the same time full of personality. The polar bear cub lies relaxed on its back, and precisely that position gives the figurine a warm and charming touch that many collectors of bear figurines and Danish porcelain are fond of. It is made of porcelain and is described as a figurine in underglaze.

As a porcelain figurine, it fits nicely both alone and together with other animal figurines from Bing & Grøndahl - Royal Copenhagen. It works well in a display cabinet, on a shelf, or as a small decorative detail in the living room, in the office, or in a collector's home. If you are looking for a classic Bing & Grøndahl polar bear figurine with a motif that stands out, figurine no. 2538 is an obvious choice.
