Polar bear cub figurine no. 2537 or 537 Bing & Grøndahl Merete Agergaard

This polar bear cub from Bing & Grøndahl is a porcelain figurine with a lively and charming expression. The figurine lies on its back with its paws in the air, and the relaxed, playful posture gives the motif both warmth and personality. The glossy white glaze emphasizes the soft shapes, while the discreet gray details at the snout, eyes, and paws highlight the figurine's expression in a calm and natural way.

Merete Agergaard has designed the figurine with a fine sense of the animal's body language. The small polar bear cub appears both secure, curious, and full of movement, even though it is rendered in porcelain. This makes the figurine an obvious choice for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines, bear figurines, and Danish porcelain design, but also for those who simply love nature motifs and classic animal figurines with character.

As a porcelain figurine, the polar bear cub fits beautifully in both a display cabinet, bookcase, and on a shelf, where it can stand alone or together with other animal figurines in porcelain. The round, soft shape gives a calm expression to the interior, and the figurine is also a lovely gift idea for collectors or for someone who appreciates older design with history. Figurines like this in particular have a special ability to bring personality into the home, and as older porcelain it is at the same time allowed to live on and be appreciated anew.

It is a figurine that combines decorative charm with classic Danish porcelain craftsmanship. The polar bear cub has a motif that one notices, and the model number 2537, also known as 537, makes it easily recognizable for collectors who are looking for this very version.
