Dahl Jensen figurine Malay woman "Evening Prayer" no. 1253

Dahl Jensen figurine "Evening Prayer" no. 1253 depicts a kneeling Malay woman in a calm and contemplative moment. Her hands are clasped in prayer, her head is slightly bowed, and the entire posture of the figurine conveys presence, silence, and reflection. It is a porcelain figurine with a strong narrative, where motif and pose come together in a fine whole and give the figurine an unusually serene expression.

The figurine is modelled by Jens Peter Dahl Jensen, who is known for his vivid and characterful human figures. Here his sure sense of anatomy, movement, and mood is seen in the kneeling position, the clasped hands, and the concentrated facial expression. The patterned garment with brown and white details as well as blue decoration gives the motif depth and life, while the hair is gathered at the neck with a light bluish ribbon. The earrings and the fine transitions in the glaze emphasize the decorative quality of the figurine.

As a vintage porcelain figurine, this Dahl Jensen figurine also has the special charm that older Danish design and craftsmanship bring with them. It is precisely the type of object that adds personality and soul to the home, while also being a sustainable choice for you who appreciate fine craftsmanship created to last through generations. The figurine fits beautifully into a collection of classic porcelain figurines, but can also stand alone on the shelf, in the display cabinet, or on a sideboard, where the calmness of the motif truly comes into its own.

For collectors of Dahl Jensen figurines and for you who are fond of human figures in porcelain, "Evening Prayer" is an atmospheric choice. It combines artistic modelling with a motif that is both decorative and narrative, and it will be an obvious gift idea for a collector or for a home where classic porcelain art is appreciated.
